Georges Duboeuf 2017 Chenas Beaujolais France
Chénas, the village that has given its name to the wine (unless it’s the other way round!), is the smallest of the ten Crus in terms of volume. This may be why it is so unjustly unknown, however it is really excellent quality for its cost. It is, indeed, a hearty, elegant wine, worthy of the finest tables.
Tasting - This wine is cherry red with lovely purple tints, releasing expressive, complex red berry and blackcurrant aromas, with a hint of almond. This wine fills the mouth with fleshy grape aromas, while revealing young tannins. Persistent and pleasant, an excellent ambassador for the appellation. We recommend to taste this wine at 14-15°C.
GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Gamay
