Castiglion del Bosco 2009 Campo del Drago Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Tuscany Italy
92 pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - The 2009 Brunello di Montalcino Campo del Drago is a single-vineyard expression that shows a greater degree of concentration and oak spice. This wine sees 28 months of barrique aging compared to the base Brunello that is set aside for 24 months. You’ll recognize the estate’s aromatic signature, thanks to those supple tones of vanilla and sweet baking spice back by black fruit, grilled herb and chopped mint. There’s a note of something sensual and wild in the bouquet. Drink: 2017-2022.
92 pts Wine Spectator - An elegant, refined young Brunello with cherry, chocolate and delicate balsamic character. Full body and a fresh finish.
