CHEV 2018 Pinot Noir Russian and River Valley
This is the latest project of Michael Browne (Kosta Browne and CIRQ)
93 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - The 2018 Pinot Noir Chev has a medium ruby color and lovely aromas of cranberry sauce, black tea leaves, black cherries and dusty earth with a streak of graphite. The palate is medium-bodied, intense and layered, with a silky, seamless structure and very long finish.
91 Points Wine & Spirits - Chev is a new regional label from Michael Browne. This first release is lovely juice with a little tense reduction to its structure and some stemmy, green-peppercorn spice. The flavors contrast seaweed umami and salty plum, a powerful Russian River pinot focused on the coast.
NOSE: Aromas of violet, hibiscus, and dried rose petals. Subtle notes of light earth, ripe cherry, allspice and aged tobacco leaf.
MOUTH: Layers of black cherry, dark plum and lightly candied apple. A mouth-watering red-velvety texture, with lively acidity, a combination of soft and grippy tannins and a full mouth finish, centered on the mid-palate.
RECOMMENDED DRINKING TIME: 3-5 years after release although it will age gracefully over the next 10 years properly cellared. Should you wish to enjoy sooner, we recommend decanting for two to three hours.
Our Return Policy is very simple: If you don't like the wine you ordered from us, tell us, send it back to us and we will either replace it for you or reimburse the purchase price to you. Because we believe life is too short to drink wine you don't like.
HOWEVER, we are not responsible for damage caused to the wine due to the weather; heat or cold. If the weather is hot or cold, we urge that you either ask us to hold the wine(s) for you or order overnight shipping.
