Georges Duboeuf 2016 Domaine du Paradis Saint Amour Beaujolais France
92 Points James Suckling
History and terroir - The 15-hectare estate belongs to the DELORME family, who also make white wines in addition to this Saint Amour.
The Saint Amour vines have an average age of 55, and some of them are up to 80 years old. Only forty acres were planted 35 years ago, which is one reason that explains the superb quality of the wines. The winery was completely renovated in 2004 with temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to obtain wines that are even fruity.
Tasting - A garnet color, with very delicate blackcurrant and cherry aromas. Fruity and fleshy, with fine tannins. A refined, full-bodied wine. We recommend to taste this wine at 13-14 °C.
GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Gamay
