The South West (French: "Sud-Ouest") is a broad French territorial zone that includes the administrative areas of Aquitaine, Limousin, and the Midi-Pyrénées. However, in terms of the French wine zone, the Sud-Ouest region is less obvious, as it excludes Bordeaux, a wine region that is so productive that it is considered a de facto zone in its own right. Bordeaux grape types are used to make wines in the southwest of France. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc are currently three of the world's most well-known grape types. In contrast, classic South West varieties like Fer Servadou, Len de l'El, and Tannat remain relatively unknown.
Sauvignon Blanc- Sauvignon Blanc hails from the Bordeaux area of France. It also thrives in Australia, Chile, Brazil, New Zealand, North America, and other wine-producing areas. You'll detect acidity and a mild lime flavor; as it sweetens, you'll see different fruits, particularly peach. However, if you leave it in your tongue for a more extended period, you will notice the oiliness and buttery flavor with a hint of vanilla. A suggestion regarding its sour flavor: when the fruit is less ripe, it has an acid taste; it has a sweeter taste when it is more grown.
