Château Pontet-Canet became the first Médoc Grand Cru Classé to have a double certification for its whole vineyard. Yarrow, camomile, dandelion, wicker, and rosemary, too, have unique characteristics that help the vines defend themselves at all stages of the vine cycle and in all types of weather.
Château Pontet-Canet is a highly regarded wine estate in Bordeaux's northern Médoc area, located in the Pauillac appellation. The estate was classified as a fifth growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, even though it is now widely regarded as deserving of a far higher position in critical and popular circles. Its grand vin is a classic, structured claret with excellent elegance that consistently receives high scores and is in high demand around the world.
