Joseph Drouhin 2014 Grands-Échezeaux Grand Cru
Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France — Pinot Noir

Discover one of Burgundy’s most revered grand crus with Joseph Drouhin 2014 Grands-Échezeaux Grand Cru—a rare and exquisitely crafted Pinot Noir from the legendary Côte de Nuits. Nestled between the iconic Clos Vougeot and Musigny vineyards, Grands-Échezeaux is known for producing wines of extraordinary depth, finesse, and longevity.

Joseph Drouhin farms a small 1-acre parcel of 40-year-old vines rooted in classic Burgundian clay-limestone soils on an east-facing slope. Meticulous hand harvesting, strict sorting, and a long, controlled maceration allow Drouhin to extract pure expression without sacrificing elegance. Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts, with gentle “pigeage” and “remontage” ensuring balanced color and structure.

Aged 14–18 months in French oak barrels (20% new), the wine develops remarkable complexity and refinement—a hallmark of Drouhin’s philosophy.

Tasting Note (Véronique Boss-Drouhin)

A beautifully bright and intense color opens to a symphony of aromatics: cherry, peach, apricot, cocoa, and cedar. On the palate, the wine is both silky and velvety, with a luxurious texture that leads to an exceptionally long finish. A subtle hint of dark chocolate lingers, adding depth and sensuality.
Elegance, precision, and purity—this is Grands-Échezeaux at its finest.
