Red blends created in the style of the wines of France's Southern Rhône Valley are known as Rhône-style red blends. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, and Cinsault are the most common grape varieties used to make these red wines, however other secondary grape varieties may also be utilized.

Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre (GSM) are three significant grapes planted in France's Côtes du Rhône area. This blend is now made all over the world and is prized for its deep red fruit flavors and age-worthiness.

The Rhône / GSM Blend is a name used to describe red wines created in the Côtes du Rhône region of France.

The Côtes du Rhône has at least 19 distinct grape varieties, but Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre are undoubtedly the most important.

The complexity developed when exuberant and fruity Grenache is combined with gloomy and peppery Syrah and Mourvèdre is what makes this blend unique.
