Napa Valley is not ceasing its triumph and its most successful wine- Cabernet Sauvignon is coming from the Shafer vineyard this time. Shafer Vineyards, located in Napa Valley, California, has been named "one of the world's greatest wineries" by wine writer Robert M. Parker, Jr. and has been ranked one of the top 25 vineyards in the world by Wine & Spirits.
Shafer's wines, particularly its distinctive Hillside Select, may be found in collectors' cellars and on wine lists at some of the world's most prestigious hotels and restaurants.
In 1978, the Shafers harvested their first Cabernet grapes, and in 1979, they began building on their first winery. The Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon was excellent, and it stood out among the other wines in the competition.
The Stags Leap One Point Five Cabernet Sauvignon has received a lot of praise, while Hillside Select, a 2,400-case cuvée of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon matured 32 months in 100% new French wood, is the Shafer portfolio's flagship wine.
