91 Points - Jeb Dunnuck "The NV Keush Sparkling is a terrific wine, as well as a screaming value. Classy notes of white flowers, stone fruits, and obvious minerality flow to a ripe, textured, balanced sparkler that has way more depth, richness, and length than the price point would have you believe. Drink it over the coming year or two."

We are elated and proud with this rating, which validates what we already knew; KEUSH Origins Brut is a fantastic sparkling wine from Armenia that is getting the recognition it deserves.

Approximately 1800 meters above sea level (6000 feet), on Armenia’s southwestern border, lies Khachik, a rural community home to panoramic mountainscapes, just over one thousand villagers, and the highest elevation vineyards in the world to produce méthode traditionnelle sparkling wines.

Origins represents the perfect storm of limestone soil and volcanic rock growing idyllic crisp white grapes, ripened by sunlight from high elevation vineyards. A product born from a 6,000  year old viticulture history. Origins embodies the bold Armenian soul and its wine loving spirit.

Vahe Keushguerian is the man behind these amazing Keush sparkling wines.  From the age of 19, Vahe moved from Lebanon to Italy and then to California. In California, he was initially working at restaurants and eventually moved on to importing Italian wines. In 1994, Vahe relocated to Italy and started making wine in Chianti and Puglia. After his first trip to Armenia in 1997, he decided to buy a plot of land and plant vineyards there. From then on, he started going back to Armenia every year. In 2009 Vahe moved his family to Armenia and has been making great wines ever since. Besides the Keush sparkling wines, Vahe also makes some amazing still wines including Kataro Wines, among others.

Varietals: 60% Voskehat + 40% Khatouni from over 40-year-old vines.
