Founder of MyWinePlus.com

A lawyer by training and a wine enthusiast by passion, Stepan Baghdassarian began his journey in the wine business in 2005, establishing a wine importation and distribution company that would eventually evolve into MyWinePlus.com, a Los Angeles–based online retailer specializing in exceptional wines from around the world.

For Stepan, wine has always been about more than what's in the bottle. It's about discovery, the people behind the wines, the places they come from, and the stories they tell.

In 2010, recognizing the remarkable renaissance of Armenian winemaking, Stepan launched WinesofArmenia.com with a mission to introduce American wine lovers to the extraordinary wines of Armenia, one of the world's oldest winemaking regions.

What began as a passion for discovering Armenian wines grew into a platform that gives talented Armenian winemakers, including small, independent producers, an opportunity to share their wines and stories with the American market.

That same spirit of discovery extends to Lebanon and Syria, two countries with deep winemaking traditions and remarkable wine stories. Through MyWinePlus.com, Stepan has championed wines from these often-overlooked regions, introducing American consumers to distinctive producers and wines that deserve a place alongside those from the world's more established wine regions.

Today, MyWinePlus.com is a leading U.S. retailer of premium Armenian wines, offering a distinctive selection of Armenian, Lebanese, and Syrian wines alongside a carefully curated collection from celebrated and emerging wine regions around the world.

Stepan's passion for wine also extends beyond importing and retailing. As host of the Always Drink the Good Stuff! podcast (AlwaysDrinktheGoodStuff.com) he brings wine lovers closer to the people, places, and stories behind exceptional wines through conversations with winemakers and other personalities in the world of wine.

Whether exploring a historic wine region, meeting an innovative winemaker, or uncovering a hidden gem, Stepan continues to pursue what first drew him to the wine business: the excitement of discovery.

His philosophy is simple: Great wine is meant to be discovered, shared, and enjoyed.
