For thousands of years, the lands of ancient Persia—modern-day Iran—stood at the crossroads of civilization, poetry, and wine. Long before wine became a global industry, grapes were cultivated, fermented, and celebrated across the Iranian plateau as part of daily life, ritual, and culture.
The Wines of Iran collection honors this extraordinary heritage through wines connected to Iran’s historic grape varieties and winemaking traditions. These wines are inspired by Persian viticultural history and brought to life today through legally produced wines made outside Iran, primarily in neighboring Armenia, where ancient knowledge and modern craftsmanship intersect.
This is a carefully curated category—limited by design—focused on authenticity, provenance, and respect for history rather than volume.
Persian Wine Heritage
Persian wine has occupied a central place in literature, philosophy, and daily life for millennia. From classical poetry to archaeological discoveries, Iran’s relationship with wine predates many of the world’s most famous wine regions.
Grapes such as Rasheh represent living links to this ancient past—varieties cultivated for generations, carrying distinctive character shaped by geography, climate, and tradition.
Today, while commercial winemaking within Iran remains restricted, these historic grapes continue their story through responsible, legally compliant production beyond its borders.
