Discover the Wines of Syria

Syria is one of the oldest wine-producing regions in the world, with a winemaking tradition that stretches back thousands of years. Today, that remarkable heritage lives on through Domaine de Bargylus, the country's only operating winery.

Located on the limestone slopes of Mount Bargylus near the Mediterranean city of Latakia, the estate produces wines that have earned international acclaim for their elegance, balance, and sense of place.

The first vintage was released in 2006. Soon afterward, Syria descended into a prolonged civil war. Since 2011, the vineyards and winery have often been managed remotely, with harvests coordinated across borders and winemaking decisions made under extraordinarily difficult circumstances. Despite these challenges, Domaine de Bargylus has continued to produce wines that are served in Michelin-starred restaurants and praised by many of the world's leading wine critics.

Today, Bargylus stands as both an exceptional winery and a remarkable symbol of perseverance, proving that great wine can transcend even the most difficult circumstances.

We are proud to offer these rare wines to our customers in limited quantities.
