Firmly rooted in Armenian history and terroir, Oshin wines are dedicated to the medieval Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia and its King Oshin.

Oshin was founded in 2017 by Vahe Keushguerian, Vahe Gabrache, and Arman Manoukian. Oshin is a small production wine. The fruit comes from 40 to 60-year-old vines exclusively from two vineyards in Vayots Dzor, yielding grapes that are ripe and deeply concentrated in flavor. Oshin produces approximately 700 cases of wine on an annual basis.

VARIETY - 100% Areni

TERROIR – 40 to 60-year-old south-facing vineyards with volcanic soil situated at 1500 meters above sea level in Aghavnadzor village of Vayots Dzor region.

VINIFICATION - Hand harvested in small lots and hand sorted. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in Caucasian oak barrels for 15 months.

WINEMAKER’S NOTES - This barrel-aged Areni has an elegant deep red color. Powerful aromatics of cherry, strawberry and subtle hints of smoke escape the glass. On the palate Oshin Areni Reserve has soft and silky texture rich in blackberry, bright red fruit and spicy flavors. A prolonged finish of red currants lavender and sweet oak closes out the wine.
