Frunzik 2018 Areni Reserve Dry Red Wine is a premium expression of Armenia’s most iconic indigenous red grape, Areni, sourced from the historic vineyards of Areni village in the Vayots Dzor region. Aged for 12 months in Artsakh oak barrels, this small-lot reserve wine captures the soul of Armenian winemaking, balancing elegance, structure, and a deep sense of place.
In the glass, it displays a vibrant ruby red color with brilliant clarity. The aromatics are expressive and layered, offering notes of tart cherry, dried raspberry, wild herbs, and subtle oak spice. On the palate, Frunzik Reserve reveals silky tannins, bright acidity, and flavors of red currant, cranberry, and hints of vanilla, with a refined mineral core and a long, elegant finish.
