Blend - 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon

Winemaking - A good control of the vegetation and a rigorous monitoring of the maturity makes it possible to obtain healthy and ripe grapes, of great richness. At the entrance of the vat room, the grapes are destemmed and put in vats to carry out the alcoholic fermentation. Daily pump-overs and monitoring of maceration for about 30 days facilitates the optimum extraction of polyphenols. A careful aging of 18 months in barrels and vats allows this wine to express power and elegance.

Tasting - Deep purple color, powerful and silky tannins.

Bordeaux Supérieur is an appellation tier applied to wines made within the generic Bordeaux AOP zone. They are produced from the classic Bordeaux grape varieties.

The reds are, as their name implies, intended to be a slightly "superior" form of standard Bordeaux AOC wines. They therefore rely heavily on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. A few wines might feature Bordeaux's "lost child", Carménère.
