Paul Pernot 2024 Beaune Clos des Dessus des Marconnets Premier Cru – Burgundy
🍷 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A Premier Cru Expression at the Crossroads of Beaune and the Côte de Nuits
The Paul Pernot 2024 Beaune Premier Cru “Clos des Dessus des Marconnets” comes from one of Beaune’s most highly regarded Premier Cru sites — a walled vineyard (clos) of just over 9 hectares, located at the northern edge of Beaune, bordering the Côte de Nuits. This privileged position gives the wine a rare balance of Beaune elegance and Côte de Nuits structure.
Crafted by the historic Paul Pernot family, now in its sixth generation, this wine reflects generations of experience, patience, and respect for Burgundy terroir. Today, the domaine is run by three generations — Paul Pernot, his sons Michel and Paul, and grandson Philippe (Domaine Pernot Belicard) — ensuring continuity of philosophy and precision in execution.
The estate is among the largest and most respected domaines in Puligny-Montrachet, and while best known for its white wines, Pernot’s red Burgundies are prized for their purity, restraint, and sense of place.

🌱 VITICULTURE & PHILOSOPHY
If asked what matters most to him, Paul Pernot consistently points to sustainable farming, the elimination of herbicides, and the importance of anticipation — understanding what the vineyard needs before problems arise. The estate has been slowly and thoughtfully replanted over time, reducing risk and preserving vine health for future generations.
This forward-thinking yet deeply traditional approach is evident in the clarity and balance of the wines.
