Tibaldi 2024 Roero Arneis DOCG – Piedmont, Italy
The Tibaldi 2024 Roero Arneis DOCG beautifully captures the spirit of Piedmont’s Roero hills — a land of sandy soils, biodiversity, and centuries-old viticultural tradition. Produced by sisters Monica and Daniela Tibaldi, this expressive white wine showcases their commitment to sustainable farming, precision winemaking, and the authentic expression of Arneis — Piedmont’s beloved native white grape.
Winemaking & Terroir
Sourced from three select vineyards in Pocapaglia and Santa Vittoria d’Alba, at altitudes between 250–340 meters above sea level, the grapes benefit from the Roero’s unique geological composition of sand, clay, and limestone, formed from ancient marine sediments. This terrain contributes to the wine’s minerality, freshness, and delicate aromatics.
The hand-harvested 100% Arneis grapes are gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks at 14–15°C, ensuring the preservation of their delicate floral and fruit notes. The wine then matures sur lie (on the lees) for several months, enhancing its texture and complexity while maintaining purity and freshness.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, Tibaldi Roero Arneis 2024 shines with a pale straw-yellow color and greenish reflections. The nose opens with white peach, pear, and acacia blossom, followed by subtle nuances of chamomile, almond, and citrus zest. On the palate, it is fresh, elegant, and well-balanced, offering layers of crisp orchard fruit, lemon curd, and a touch of saline minerality that speaks to its sandy hillside origins.
The finish is clean, persistent, and delicately savory, with a creamy mid-palate from the lees contact. This Arneis perfectly balances fruit, texture, and refreshing acidity — a benchmark example of the variety’s charm and sophistication.
