APPELLATION:  Brunello di Montalcino DOCG.

GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Sangiovese.

SOIL: Marl, ancient clay with high-level of limestone.

ALTITUDE: From 280 to 310 meters above sea level.

VINEYARDS: From 55 to 12 years old.

TRAINING SYSTEM: Spurred Cordon, organic farming, small quantity of grape per vine

HARVEST: Between the beginning and end of September.

VINIFICATION: Spontaneous fermentation for about two weeks in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Pre-fermentative cold maceration to extract color and mostly the strong aromatic profile. Malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks.

AGEING: Aging of about 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels of different capacity (10/15/30/50 hl). Bottling in April/May following the most propitious moon phases. Long aging in bottle.

TASTING NOTES BY BERNARDINO SANI, CEO AND WINEMAKER: The nose is broad, complex, very clean and clear, with classic hints of red fruit mixed with notes of aromatic herbs and spices. The tannins are silky, the mouthfeel is broad, robust with a pleasing sapid note and a long, persistent and fresh finish
