MALAHI was the ancient name of the indigenous Armenian grape varietal Areni Noir.

Blend: 60% Areni, 20% Malbec, 20% Khndoghni

Origin and terroir: This wine is a blend of several terroirs.

  • Indigenous Areni from Aghavnadzor village where the soil is volcanic and limestone at an altitude of 1400 meters (approx. 4500 feet).
  • Khndoghni from lower Artsakh at an altitude of 500 meters (approx. 1600 feet).
  • Malbec from Ararat valley where the soil is volcanic and clay at an altitude of 1100 meters (approx. 3600 feet).
