The cade napa valley Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from Kenefick Ranch Vineyards in Calistoga and Hanson-Hsieh Vineyard in Oak Knoll, two of Napa's most known vineyards.
The wine was aged for 18 months in 100% French oak barrels (45 percent New). Following primary fermentation, malolactic fermentation took place in the barrel. Once malolactic fermentation was complete, the wine was racked quarterly.
Boysenberry, cherry, strawberry jam, rose petal, blueberry, chocolate, mocha, vanilla, and brown sugar aromas pervade the wine. Raspberry, dried cranberry, black cherry, vanilla bean, and roasted coffee notes abound on the palate. The tannins are supple and rounded. The wine has a well-balanced approach. The wine has a silky texture and is full-bodied. We were able to create a wine with a rich, deep palate and superb crimson and black fruit aromas and flavors by sourcing from these two stellar vineyards on the valley floor.
