At elevations ranging from 1,400 to 1,800 feet, the Mt. Brave Vineyard, formerly the Chateau Potelle Vineyard, was created decades ago. While Mt. Veeder is chilly, Mt. Brave lies above the fog line, allowing the morning light to warm the grapes. The soil is scarce, consisting of a gravelly loam with large and small boulders. Due to a lack of nutrients and minerals, little berries with intense and complex flavors result.

Mt Brave Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6.5% Cabernet Franc, 3% Merlot, 1.5% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec.

2018 mountain Mt Brave Cabernet at its finest, grown on the rocky slopes of Mt. Veeder. Blue and crimson berry aromas mix with a hint of baking spice. The tannins are robust but polished, and the weight is rich and luscious on the palate. It's already enticing, and one can only speculate on its true cellaring potential.
