95 points James Suckling - This has very attractive rose-petal and rosehip notes with wild herbs and a swathe of fresh red cherries. The palate carries a succulent, juicy and very fresh array of fine red cherries and a long and fresh, lacy finish with deep flavors.

93 points Vinous - The 2017 Echézeaux Grand Cru, which comes from Les Rouges du Bas, has a far more complex bouquet compared to the Clos de Vougeot; marmalade and dried quince scents infuse the exotic red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with tart red berry fruit on the entry, laced with orange peel and touches of tobacco. I admire the density of this Echézeaux - not the most nuanced one produced in 2017, but it has plenty of substance and aging potential. This should be interesting in 10 years’ time.

90-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - From a parcel in Les Rouges du Bas, the 2017 Echézeaux Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) offers up attractive aromas of smoky red fruits, spices, charcuterie and toasty new oak. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, firm and expansive, with a broad, open-knit profile. While the wine was quite structural when I tasted it, I suspect it will flesh out by the time it's bottled. This is often one of the sleepers chez Jadot, so I look forward to revisiting it.
